Shannon Rochon is a mission-driven leader working at the intersection of faith, education, and civic empowerment. With a background in youth ministry and a lifelong commitment to service, he brings pastoral care, policy insight, and strategic direction to every space he enters.

As Director of Education and Election Protection at Michigan United, Shannon leads statewide initiatives to advance equitable education policy and ensure voting access in historically disenfranchised communities. He also serves as a school board trustee in the Wayne-Westland Community School District, where he champions student-centered solutions, community engagement, and transformative leadership.

Shannon is the founder and executive director of BlackCount, a nonprofit organization dedicated to increasing Black representation in civic life through leadership development, digital outreach, and grassroots organizing. He is also the founder of Nohcor Management, a consulting firm supporting churches, creatives, and mission-aligned organizations with sustainable infrastructure and strategic growth.

A creative at heart, Shannon is the author of Hope Is Not Canceled and the visionary behind Colors Collection by Shannon Rochon, a fashion line that celebrates identity, resilience, and community pride.

His work reflects BlackCount’s mission to amplify Black leadership, inspire civic engagement, and build sustainable pathways for collective empowerment.
