Dan Hunt is a dedicated organizer, licensed minister, and family man whose passion for justice and service has guided more than two decades of community work across Michigan. As a Field Staff Representative with AFSCME Michigan, Dan has spent his career strengthening worker voices, building grassroots power, and championing fair representation for working families.

A husband and father of two, Dan’s leadership is grounded in faith, compassion, and a deep belief in collective empowerment. His dual calling as both a minister and organizer reflects his commitment to building stronger communities spiritually, socially, and economically.

Through his service on the BlackCount Board of Directors, Dan brings his organizing expertise and moral conviction to advancing BlackCount’s mission of amplifying Black leadership, expanding civic engagement, and creating sustainable pathways for equity and opportunity.
