The National Black Affinity Alliance for Nonprofits aims to empower, uplift, and advocate for Black professionals within the nonprofit sector. Our mission is to foster a supportive and inclusive community that promotes equity, diversity, and inclusion, while addressing the unique challenges faced by Black individuals and organizations in the nonprofit field.
In the wake of the transformative year that was 2020, a powerful movement emerged, reminding us all of the resilience and determination of Black communities to drive change and create a more equitable society.

Our Priorities
National Black Affinity Alliance for Nonprofits (NBAAN) is committed to being the voice for Black professionals within nonprofit organizations.

Professional Development
We prioritize resources, mentorship, and networking opportunities that support the professional growth and advancement of Black individuals working in nonprofit organizations.

Advocacy and Representation
Our goal is to amplify the voices and perspectives of Black professionals, advocating for their inclusion and equitable representation at all levels of nonprofit organizations and executive leadership.

Building Alliances & Collaborations
We’re creating partnerships and collaborations with other affinity groups, nonprofits, and stakeholders to collectively address systemic issues of racial inequality within the nonprofit sector.

Education and Awareness
We commit to providing educational initiatives, training programs, and resources that promote cultural competency, anti-racism, and racial equity within nonprofit organizations.

Community Engagement and Outreach
We seek to engage and connect with Black professionals in the nonprofit sector, promoting a strong sense of community, mentorship, and support through events, forums, and digital platforms.
